The Latency was a Canadian pop rock band from Maple Ridge. They formed in 2006 from the remains of three previous bands. They have since signed to Maple Music and released their self-titled debut album on September 8, 2009. They will be releasing a second album in 2011.
On September 1, 2010 it was announced through a Ustream chat that drummer Jonny Wiebe had left the band. No permanent replacement was ever chosen.
It was announced on December 4, 2011 that the band had decided to part ways.
