Family of the Year is an American indie rock band based in Los Angeles, California consisting of members Joseph Keefe, Sebastian Keefe, James Buckey and Christina Schroeter. Their music uses melodic male/female vocal harmonies and folk tale-style lyrics. They are perhaps best-known for their international chart hit, Hero, which has reached the top 20 in the German state of Bavaria, based on Bayern 3 Schlager der Woche countdown surveys for the week ending 25 October 2013.
