G-Unit was an American hip hop group originating from South Jamaica, Queens, New York, formed by longtime friends and East Coast rappers 50 Cent, Tony Yayo and Lloyd Banks. The name of the group is short for Guerrilla Unit. After releasing two studio albums, due to in-group fighting in the 2010s, the group is currently dismantled as of 2014.
