Born in Pontiac, Michigan on January 23rd, 1976. Raised among a large music making family, (mother Sally was the 10th of 12 musically inclined children of renowned Detroit pianist, Jimmy Stevenson) he began singing and playing at the ripe old age of three. By age eight he had begun playing and writing with his cousin and life-long musical companion, Cole Garlak.
