David Ewan Dave McArtney was a New Zealand musician and songwriter. He is best known for his work with the band Hello Sailor and his solo career with Dave McArtney & The Pink Flamingos.
In 1989, he returned to university, completing his Bachelor of Arts degree in English literature, majoring in Renaissance poetry. He then went on to complete a Master of Arts degree in 2013.
