Candelario Orlando Cachaíto López Vergara was a Cuban bassist, who has gained international attention especially since his involvement in the Buena Vista Social Club recordings.
He was nicknamed Cachaíto after his uncle, the famous bassist and innovator of mambo music Israel Cachao López.
