The Flamingos was a "Doo Wop" group formed in the early 1950s and that had early success on Chess Records, hitting the R&B charts with "A Kiss From Your Lips", "I'll Be Home", "The Vow" and "Would I Be Crying". They left Chess and signed with End Records in 1958. Almost immediately the group had their first pop chart hit with "Lovers Never Say Goodbye", considered a "Doo Wop" classic today.
