Lewis was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio, the daughter of Marlene, a nursing administrator, and Jim Lewis, an air traffic supervisor. She has a sister, Denise. She most recently starred as Countess Lili in Darko Tresnik's production of 'Anastasia' on Broadway.
