Makmur is an Indonesian soldier who has to leave his wife, Sari, who is heavily pregnant, to go to war somewhere, defending the integrity of the Republic of Indonesia. Makmur fought together with other soldiers, Supra, Fajrul, Jaka, and Solah. His strong desire to meet Sari again made Makmur and his friends survive the battlefield. They promised to be friends for life and death. When he returned home, Makmur reunited with Sari who had given birth to their child, Cipluk.
