The plot is based on the dinner of a school teacher with the father of one of the students. The man is rich and lonely, recently widowed, and willing to enter into a new relationship with a woman he liked. However, the gallant dinner ends very sadly for both sides. The young teacher is trying to bring to justice the man who did the horrible thing to her. however, some secrets of the past are better left untouched.
