Norwegian schoolboy Gilbert became a bully target and virtual class outcast after his egg allergy caused him to vomit in the locker-room. He finally gets invited to a class girl's birthday party and hockey team, but his parents booked a holiday. he persuades them instead of going along to spend the period with his awkward aunt Doris, who will 'babysit' him. She's a selfish weirdo, who expects him to 'lay along' with her childish Christmas traditions, which take forever. As he demands some time off for his actual purpose, she wickedly sabotages him by putting eggs in his food, until Gilbert finally declares war.
