David Dread Hinds is the founding member, English rhythm guitarist and lead vocalist for the Grammy Award-winning reggae band Steel Pulse. Born in Handsworth, Birmingham, England, Hinds' parents migrated to the UK from Jamaica in the mid 1950s along with so many other Jamaicans and other British Caribbean islanders to rebuild post World War II Britain.
