Frances Day

Frances Day was the 'Toast of London' in the 1930s. George Bernard Shaw wrote 'Boyant Billions' for her in 1949. She retired in 1965 after appearing in London's West End in 'The Gulls', with Bob Monkhouse. She moved to Berkshire, became known as Frankie Day and said that Frances was her mother. Miss Day passed away on April, 1984 in Brighton.
