Nancy LaMott was a cabaret singer and recording artist whose career was cut short when she died of uterine cancer in 1995. Nancy began performing in her father's band in Midland, Michigan, before moving to San Francisco in the late 1970s where she became a popular chanteuse in the Plush Room and other Bay Area nightclubs.
