Noel Nicola was an outstanding Cuban singer-songwriter and founder of the Cuban nueva trova, along with Silvio Rodríguez, Pablo Milanés, Vicente Feliu Miranda and Sara Rosa González Gómez. He authored several songs of great significance within the Cuban music.
