Jake Holmes is an American singer-songwriter and commercial jingle writer. In 1964, he was part of a short-lived comedy trio with Jim Connell and Joan Rivers, called "Jim, Jake & Joan", who played coffeehouses in Greenwich Village. After that, Holmes' first music was with his wife Katherine in the folk pop parody duo, Allen & Grier. After a stint in the military, he went back to music, putting lyrics to Bob Gaudio's music on [link-nm1797921]'s experimental album, 1969's Genuine Imitation Life Ga...
