Singer/songwriter Kelly Hogan was born in Atlanta, Georgia. Hogan started singing as a child in Atlanta and performed in bar bands while still in high school. In the early 1990s Kelly was a singer and guitarist for the band The Jody Grind; said group recorded two albums and broke up after two members were killed in a car accident.
