This musical group started in Sept 1951 with Bobby Day, David Ford, WIllie Rockwell, and Curtis Dinkins. This group became The Hollywood Flames from their previous identity of The Flames and The Four Flames after the music label, Recorded in Hollywood Records, promoted them with a release of Young Girl in Sept 1951. After that occasion and over time, the group added additional members and swapped members under the new identity of The Hollywood Flames.
